Light calcium carbonate

Light calcium carbonate (Light Calcium Carbonate) also called Precipitated Calcium Carbonate (Precipitated Calcium Carbonate, for short) is to burn limestone and other raw materials to produce lime (mainly calcium oxide) and carbon dioxide, and then add water to digest lime to produce lime milk (the main component is calcium hydroxide) and then into carbon dioxide carbon. The fossil lime milk is produced by calcium carbonate precipitation, which is finally prepared by dehydration, drying and comminution, or the complex decomposition reaction of sodium carbonate and calcium chloride is used to precipitate calcium carbonate and then dehydrated, dried and comminuted. Because the precipitated volume of light calcium carbonate (2.4-2.8mL/g) is larger than that of heavy calcium carbonate (1.1-1.4mL/g), it is called light calcium carbonate. The chemical formula of calcium carbonate is CaCO3. Calcium carbonate is reacted with all strong acids, producing water and corresponding calcium salt (such as calcium chloride CaCl2) and releasing carbon dioxide at the same time. At normal temperature (25 C), the concentration of calcium carbonate in water is 8.7 * 1029, the solubility is 0.0014, the pH value of calcium carbonate solution is 9.5 to 10.2, and the air saturated calcium carbonate water dissolves. The pH value of the liquid is 8 to 8.6. Calcium carbonate is nontoxic, odorless and non irritating, usually white, with a relative density of 2.7 to 2.9. The precipitated volume of light calcium carbonate is above 2.5ml/g and the specific surface area is about 5m2/g. The light Calcium Carbonate Granules is small, the surface is rough, the specific surface area is large, so the oil absorption value is relatively high, which is about 60 ~ 90ml/100g.
Powder characteristics of light calcium carbonate:
The characteristics of light calcium carbonate powder are: A. particles are regular in shape, can be regarded as monodisperse powder, B. particle size distribution is narrow, and C. particle size is small.
The effect of light calcium carbonate:
Widely used in paper, plastic, plastic film, chemical fiber, rubber, adhesive, sealant, daily chemical, cosmetics, building materials, paint, paint, ink, oil putty, sealing wax, putty, felt layer packaging, medicine, food (such as gum, chocolate) and feed. The effect is to increase the volume of product, reduce cost and change Good processing properties (such as regulating viscosity, rheological properties, vulcanization), improving dimensional stability, reinforcing or semi reinforcing, improving the printing performance and improving physical properties (such as heat resistance, extinction, wear resistance, flame retardancy, whiteness, Guang Zedu) and so on.
